St. Louis Blues: Blues trade forward Jeff Petry to St. John’s

The St. Johns Saints and St. Paul Saints have traded forward Jeff Peterson to the Blues for defenseman Eric Brewer, St. Thomas Aquinas General Manager Joe Colombo announced.

The St. Pats acquired Brewer from the Blues on March 11 for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Brewer, 26, is a former first-round draft pick of the New York Rangers in 2014.

He has totaled nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 53 career games with the Blues and New York Islanders.

He has also appeared in two Stanley Cup Playoff games with New York.

Brewers AHL debut is delayed.

He was expected to make his St. Mary’s debut Monday against the Oshawa Generals.

Brewery was a fourth-round selection (No. 122) in the 2015 NHL Entry draft by the Blues.
